Last month Mario was out in the Sahara running a total of 72 miles over three days, making it his sixth Marathon des Sables (AKA ‘world’s toughest footrace’). Since then he’s been on a mission to reach his £5000 target for two fantastic causes: the Evelina Children’s Hospital at Guy’s & St Thomas’ and brave little Chloe’s appeal for lifesaving cancer treatment.
I stuck to my word and matched all the donations £1 for £1, meaning the target has now been reached, slightly over with £5087. It’s a great amount for the two charities and another unbelievable achievement for Mario.
I’ve been hearing rumours there’s another marathon in the pipeline…
Well done Mario!!
